The gentlest on-ramp if you want work management and automation in one place — the catch is less depth when a workflow gets truly intricate.

True solo cost — low volume$10/month billed yearly (Pro) at 1,000 automation runs/month — Pro's allowance matches the volume exactly. Converted directly: Taskade counts a whole run as one, regardless of steps, so 1,000 runs = the Pro tier.
True solo cost — typical volume$25/month billed yearly (Business) at 10,000 automation runs/month — Business includes exactly that allowance, with unlimited users. AI-credit needs, not runs, are the likelier reason to top up.

What Taskade is — in our words

Taskade approaches operations from the workspace side: your projects, docs and client boards live in the same place as the agents and automations that work on them. A solo founder typically starts by letting automations move the paperwork — a submitted form creates a project task, assigns it, drafts the kickoff email and posts a reminder — then graduates to AI agents trained on their own files, processes and past projects. Those agents can triage an inbox into tasks, draft replies and proposals in the founder's style, research a prospect before a call, or keep a content pipeline moving from idea to drafted post. Multi-agent teams split a job — one agent researches, another writes, a third formats and files — and automations can call those teams on a schedule or a trigger across 100-plus integrations including Gmail, Slack, Sheets, HubSpot and Stripe. The Genesis app builder is the unusual extra: from one prompt it generates a small live app — a client portal, a booking page, a simple CRM — hosted for you and wired into the same agents and automations. Pricing is the friendliest shape in this category for a beginner: flat plans priced by workspace, with automation runs counted whole — one run takes a trigger through every step — rather than per step, so a long workflow does not multiply the bill. AI work draws on a separate monthly credit pool, which is the number to watch if your agents chat and draft all day.

What it does end-to-end

  • Automations counted per whole run, with AI steps and agent teams inside
  • Trainable AI agents and multi-agent teams working from your files and projects
  • 100+ integrations plus MCP connections to external AI tools
  • Genesis: prompt-built live apps (portals, trackers, booking pages) in the same workspace

What it does NOT do

  • Integration depth per app is shallower than Zapier or Make
  • Not a specialist automation engine for very high-volume or developer-grade flows
  • AI credits and automation runs are separate meters — heavy agent chat can exhaust credits before runs

Flat workspace plans. Automations are billed per run — one run carries a trigger through all steps — with monthly run allowances per plan; AI generation and agent work draw on a separate monthly AI-credit pool included in each plan.

Integrations we verified: 100+ integrations (Taskade), Gmail, Slack, Google Sheets, HubSpot, Stripe, Google Drive

Pros — our take

  • Flat pricing with per-run counting — no per-step bill shock
  • Projects, agents and automations share one workspace and one memory
  • Generous user allowances: Pro covers 10 people for $10/month

Cons — our take

  • Automation engine is younger and shallower than Zapier/Make for edge cases
  • Two meters (runs + AI credits) to keep an eye on
  • Genesis apps are lightweight — not a replacement for a real product build

Other run operations & workflows agents

The default connector for a one-person business — if two of your apps need to talk, Zapier almost certainly already speaks to both.

The safest first automation tool for a solo founder — the catch is watching the task meter, because multi-step and AI-heavy Zaps eat it fast.

True solo cost (typical)About $129/month billed annually at 10,000 tasks/month on Professional. Caution: 10,000 workflow runs with three action steps each = 30,000 tasks, which prices materially higher — Zapier bills steps, not runs.

Solo-ReadySetup: Under an hour for a first useful Zap; an afternoon for a small set of core workflowsActs + logs everythingChecked · prices checked 2026-11-04

The visual workshop for founders who outgrow simple recipes — branching, looping scenarios at a fraction of Zapier's step price.

Best value in the category for a founder willing to learn one visual canvas — the catch is that canvas itself, which scares off true beginners.

True solo cost (typical)About $9/month billed annually (Core) at 10,000 credits/month, or $16/month on Pro for priority execution. At 10,000 full workflow runs of ~4 modules each (~40,000 credits), expect a higher credit tier — roughly the $29/month Core level on the published volume ladder.

Solo-ReadySetup: An afternoon for a first real scenario; a few days to feel fluent on the canvasActs + logs everythingChecked · prices checked 2026-11-04

An AI-first builder for the jobs that need judgement — research, enrichment and drafting — not just moving rows between apps.

The pick when your bottleneck is thinking work, not data entry — the catch is variable per-run credit costs that reward a week of measurement before you commit.

True solo cost (typical)$37/month while total monthly work stays under 20,000 credits; beyond that, opt-in overage at $0.005/credit (e.g. 10,000 extra credits = $50). Heavy enrichment batches — not run count — are what push a solo founder past the allowance.
